The Cove Climb 6k is a road running race like no other. Starting at Wilderness Cove Campground racers will run along the gorgeous Green River and up the infamous 17 switch backs of Green River Cove Road taking them 1,000 feet above the river. Runners will be greeted with a lush landscape and impressive views along the way runners will finish at THE GORGE at the top of Holbert Cove Road. Runners can celebrate their run at the Kick Off Party in Saluda.
Course Information:
Runners will begin at Wilderness Cove Campground and race up Green River Cove Road finishing at THE GORGE. This is a 6K
Cost:
$35 before Thursday, September 5th at 9PM
$50 day of registration
There are no refunds for this event
Time and Shuttle:
The race will begin at 6PM sharp on September 5th at Wilderness Cove Campground. We will be shuttling people from THE GORGE to the start line.
First Shuttle: 4:30 PM
Last Shuttle: 5:40 PM
Time Limit:
All racers must finish the race by 8:00 PM (2 hours)
Rules:
Runners must run on the LEFT side of the road
All ages welcome
Walkers welcome
No dogs allowed
Strollers welcome
Timing:
Racers will be scored with the help of Jus Running to accurately record everyones time as they cross the finish line.
Awards:
The top 3 finishers male and female will be awarded prizes.
Registration/Packet Pickup:
Racers are encouraged to REGISTER ONLINE! Online registration will close at 9PM on Thursday, September 5th. Anyone who wants to register after that will need to register the morning of the race at The Party Place. There is a $15 late registration fee. Racers will need to pickup their packets and bibs at The Party Place prior to the race. There will be no bib pickup at the start line. Must bring a photo ID.
Packet Pickup/Registration will be open: Friday 12-5:30 PM at THE GORGE (shuttle pickup).
Amenities:
There will be restrooms and the start and finish Line
There will be a water station at roughly the half way mark of the race
