Saturday, May 6th, 9 AM
The Billy Goat Scramble is a 30 kilometer trail race that takes runners through some of the most picturesque and challenging terrain the Green River Game Lands has to offer. Pace Cliffs, Laurel Mountain, and more will be included in this extremely challenging run. The course winds through forests, up steep inclines, and across rocky streams, offering runners stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

Racers maybe be required to reach 1-3 out and back checkpoints in a predetermined order during this run. At each check point, runners will be required to stop and have their race bibs stamped, ensuring that they stay on course and complete the entire route. With a mix of technical and endurance-based sections, this race is not for the faint of heart, and is guaranteed to provide a thrilling and memorable experience for all participants.

Each year will be a little different as new areas of the Green River Game Lands are improved. Don’t expect any kind of speed records for this one. Racers will be faced with lots of scrambling on the tiniest of Goat Trails to reach the hidden gems of the Green River Gorge. Think ~4000 feet of climbing in 30K!
